On February 6th 2009, 43 technicians were presented “Certificates of Training” and lapel pins from the FAA for their training accomplishments in 2008! These awards are given by the FAA under the Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards Program which is explained in detail in FAA Advisory Circular 65-25D. This program provides maintenance technicians with incentives to improve safety by actively participating in initial and recurring training programs on their own initiative or in training programs subsidized by their employer. The Certificates of Training reflect the level of training accomplished as follows:
Bronze = 8 hrs of training
Silver = 16 hrs of training
Gold = 36 hrs of training
Ruby = 60 hrs of training
Diamond = 100 hrs of training
AERO’s technicians accomplished enough training to earn thirty-four bronze awards, six silver awards, two ruby awards and one diamond award, which in turn qualified Aero Instruments & Avionics to receive a ”Gold Certificate of Excellence” award! Congratulations to all!!
